Logo design for Fiona Harrington Lace
Fiona Harrington is a visual artist and lacemaker, who dedicates herself to preserving techniques passed down through generations. Trained in Kenmare Lace and at the Design Centre in Co. Kerry, she blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary artistry. Crafting a logo that mirrors this mixture was paramount. For this logo, the name of the artist takes centre stage. Wanting an emblem to sit alongside this, I created digital lace in shapes that reflected the landscape of the West of Ireland, an inspiring place for the artist. This digital lace weaved around and inside her initials with the final version becoming a fusion of lace and letters.
